Remember Network helps guide families in their experiences in caring for their own at a time of loss. Family-led and person-focused, Remember Network responds to the wishes and needs of those looking for a more meaningful way to honour death by offering guidance in a continuum of care, providing informed choice, and promoting and supporting families who choose to care for and memorialize their own dead at home.
“Remember Network offers an elegant and economical solution.”
Family-led events bring friends and family together to participate in a more meaningful way, which helps them deal with their loss more effectively. I offer guidance to families who have decided to ritualize, memorialize, and celebrate at home, rather than at a funeral home, or in conjunction with services provided by a funeral home such as transportation.
“It gives us something to do, a way to work out our grief, rather than sit around feeling miserable. We heal through our acts of love and service.”
The interest in simple, alternative, and greener funerals are growing, while many still envision a funeral that does not compromise traditional customs and ritual. No matter what type of service a person desires, there is a lack of information to help them understand their choices and the endless possibilities available. Remember Network has developed a number of informative resources, and holds educational events and speaking engagements that aim to demystify death, grief and memorialization in a home setting.

PROMOTING PARTICIPATION
Being inclusive involves providing you with information that allows you to make informed decisions as well as encouraging you, your family and friends to facilitate the planning of the event. It has also been proven to be therapeutic, allowing you a productive role in working through your loss in a meaningful way.
Remember Network engages in public speaking events, attends professional conferences and seminars, and keeps abreast of what’s happening in on-line blogs and forums as a way to better guide our mission, responding to what real people find useful. We also publish a blog that aims to inspire individuals in a number of ways: to plan meaningful services, leave a legacy, engage in therapeutic workshops, as well as notes from the things that we’ve been up to like community talks and presentations. It’s available here online.
A FOCUS ON HIGH-QUALITY, GREEN PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
Remember Network is conscientious of the environmental impact of funeral products and services. We promote choosing merchandise that has been crafted with renewable resources, and opting for simpler services. We have published a brochure on Green Funerals, which you can read by downloading a copy from our website.
